Really, they are, whether you are giving or taking them. This is too much excitement. Tal and I were about to go to bed last night when we realised that the cat downstairs had stopped yowling for Fairlight. I knew that he was planning to stay with a friend last night so I went down to see what had happened, and the door was open and there was someone in the flat, but they jumped out of the window and went down the fire escape before I could catch them.

(Tal said later that he really wishes I would run away from burglars instead of running after them just like Dov or Shulamit would, but I was too angry--Fairlight says the word is 'pissed off'. He is going to spend hours on the phone with Dov again and I am going to get a lecture for sure. Dalia would have just hidden and watched. I could have done that too. But I was pissed off. I thought about going after them!)

I took the cat upstairs with me in case they came back and called the police. It wasn't so big for me, but it was for Fairlight; he's going to move away. :( I didn't like him much before, because he was always scowling at me, but ever since he and Kayvan got to be friends, things are different. :( I hope he's happy with that friend of his.

People say that I'm brave, but I wonder if I did the right thing. Fairlight was gone, and if I hadn't interrupted whoever it was, we'd know what they wanted. I hope they didn't get what they were there for. I'm going to believe that, for now.

(Sorry--these are my thoughts--so I am talking about people that you don't know. If I didn't know this was for other people to read I probably wouldn't even write it in English.)
